Discovery

We’ll start out with an initial on site consultation where I can get to know you, your personal style and explore your goals and desires for the reinvention of space. I’ll ask questions about you, your personal style, likes, dislikes, what inspires you. We’ll discuss what works in the existing space and what needs improvement. This is where we’ll take inventory of current furnishings and architecture, take measurements and photograph the space. Finally, we’ll examine and determine your specific project needs as well as preliminary budget and timeline.

Conceptualization

Once we’ve clearly defined your personal needs, we’ll develop preliminary concepts, new space plans, style boards, furniture plans and color palettes, as well as select new interior finishes such as paint, wallcoverings, flooring, ceiling and window treatments, cabinets and countertops. Custom designed pieces or treatments will be drawn up for your review.

Development

A communication phase if you will, usually taking place after the initial design presentation, where you’ll share your thoughts and preferences, and I’ll make changes accordingly. For instance, if the initial design has high back dining chairs and prefer low back chairs, no sweat, i’ll suggest an alternative. During this phase we’ll finish finalizing the design and ironing out the budget, until every nook is accounted for. You’ll receive updated floor plans, style boards, and proposals accordingly.

Project Completion

Upon completion, we’ll conclude our time together with a final walk-through, preparing a list of any remaining small details that may require attention. Tying up any loose ends, reviewing tips for care and maintenance of your new finishes and furnishings. Leaving you with good vibes and your new space, ready for enjoyment.
